I use this site to work through the design and behavior of software: language semantics, program analysis, formal models, verification techniques, and the engineering choices that connect specifications to implementations. Some investigations produce machine-checked proofs; others produce counterexamples, executable models, audits, or simply a sharper question. The essays favor concrete examples and explicit reasoning over broad surveys.
